Lushoto

Lushoto is the main town in the West Usambara Mountains. Although not as biologically diverse as the East Usamabaras there are suburb walking opportunities in the area, and viewpoints offering stunning views out over the escarpment. The main attractions in the area are the Magamba and Mkusu Forest Reserves, Irente Viewpoint and several small waterfalls.

Maweni Farm more info ->

 Maweni Farm is at the base of a steep cliff which creates quite a dramatic setting for this pretty and well maintained establishment. There are eight rooms in the chalets and five further rooms in the lodge itself. Maweni is within easy reach of Lushoto and is a good base for all walking in the area.

Mullers Mountain more info ->

 Mullers Mountain Lodge Lushoto is situated next to the Mukuzu Forest Reserve, a few kilometers from Lushoto Town, Mullers is a peaceful mountain retreat. Accommodation can be in the Old Farm House or for the budget traveller there are simple round bandas built up the hill.
