Yacht Sailing

Yacht Sailing

What better way to explore the Zanzibar Archipelago and Swahili Coast than by boat? Wild Things can arrange the private charter of:

Yachts

The yacht is a beautifully kept schooner built as a working fishing vessel in Holland in 1910. She has since been refitted in Italy and now accommodates up to six people in luxurious surroundings. Those with previous sailing experience can help sail, and those without can learn if they wish, or simply allow the friendly and experienced crew to do the sailing while you lie back, relax and enjoy the view. You can also try your hand at fishing for big game fish such as tuna, barracuda, or sailfish. There is ample space on deck for reading or simply relaxing in the sun, and the lovely wooden cabins and galley are very comfortable.

Catamaran

The catamaran truly is a modern comfortable 'lounge boat'. There is plenty of deck space for relaxing and sunbathing, a well-equipped galley and living area and comfortable cabins below. You are encouraged to help sail, or learn to sail if you wish. There are several attractive islands just of the coast of Dar which can be navigated in a day.

Traditional Dhow Trips and Safaris

Enjoy the experience of sailing in the traditional Arabic dhows with a simple one day charter out of Dar es Salaam. Experience the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean from the smooth sailing of the dhow, and spend a day visiting one of the many islands dotted around the coast of Dar. Have lunch on a sand bank exposed only at high tide - you, your partner or friends, and a delicious lunch, isolated in the middle of the Indian Ocean! Go snorkelling around the reefs of Bongoyo Island or try your hand at fishing for your dinner!

  • All the Parks visited are really wonderful, especially Ruaha and the "king" Katavi that worth absolutely the long trip (at least in our point of view). Yahaya and Salim are like two friends.
